In response to the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management Regulation and Enforcement's (BOEMRE) request for expressions of interest, RES Offshore in partnership with RES America Developments Inc, has declared its interest in obtaining a commercial lease for the construction of an offshore wind energy project off the coast of Maryland.
The Department of the Interior's recently announced 'Smart from the Start' wind energy initiative has opened the door to a number of potential offshore development opportunities on the Atlantic outer continental shelf, which RES are now considering.
