In 2012, RES Offshore supported CT Offshore A/S in their tender submission to DONG Energy for the cable array installation at the Borkum Riffgrund 1 offshore windfarm in the German North Sea. RES assisted in the cable route engineering work for the proposed 93 inter-array and collector cables. RES provided cable routing charts, route position lists, cable cut sheets and cable route verification documentation for the contractors installation bid proposal.
In 2013, RES was re-contracted to undertake a revised Scope of Work for CT Offshore in the final engineering phase of the Borkum Riffgrund 1 project. The RES scope of work covers 43 array cables of the revised 77 turbine OWF layout. It involves the creation of 6 new inter-array cable routes and the review of 37 previously created routes, with a full suite of documents and charts being provided for all the array cables.
Kevin Todd, Senior Project Manager (Cables) at RES Offshore said, "RES Offshore are pleased to be working with CT Offshore again. Our broad skills and knowledge allow us to undertake the full range of services; from the conceptual stage, right through to the O&M phase for the offshore renewable market; allowing us to cover all aspects of offshore renewable engineering and project management tasks. This scope of work also demonstrates our ability to provide a specific targeted work package, to a tight timeframe and at a competitive price."
Carsten Vohnsen, Project Manager at CT Offshore A/S,"CT Offshore is very satisfied with the work carried out by RES Offshore. The RES Offshore project team is made up of very skilled and experienced survey engineers, who quickly managed to implement the revised design and latest survey data, within the timeframe given."ENDS
